Anyone heard of the Moomin comic strip? I hadn't either, but plainly it is a pop Finnish comic strip/book serial that follows the adventures of the Moomin household unit of measurement (who have an hippopotamus-like appearance), inwards Moominvalley.
So, go out it to the Japanese, to stimulate got reconstructed their ain Moominvalley, to pay homage to this series. The girls couldn't hold off to explore!
Here is the map of Moominvalley. Isn't it idyllic?
The Moomin's primary residence was darling, within too out.
We entered into a large room that served every bit the living room, with an awesome curved staircase.
The vaulted ceiling inwards the primary room was incredible. I couldn't larn over the woodwork of this place!
There were lots of plaques inwards each room, which I am assuming told most the lives of the Moomin's.
Lots of cute doorways, perfectly cutting for kids.
And great, whimsical windows, too.
The attending to item inwards this house, was amazing. Even nether the stairs, were what the girls called "fairy rooms." (Look closely too you lot tin come across tiny furniture.)
The "fairy rooms" were a huge hitting alongside all the girls.
There were fifty-fifty tiny holding to await at.
This bed was most the size of a Barbie.
Also, really pocket-size bunk beds, too a tent? Not certain what the tent was for, but the girls had a marvelous fourth dimension imagining scenarios for the fairies too what they believed their lives were like.
We loved all of the hideouts, too undercover spots, too.
Here are the adventurers; Kiki, Jaden, Kiley, Eva too Ella.
The basement was a large opened upward room, that the girls called the "dance room", too straightaway began their ain choreography.
And a darling door, of course!
You could fifty-fifty walk exterior to a tiny terrace too accept inwards the view. I loved the curved staircase.
While "taking inwards the view", I saw a Japanese schoolhouse grouping heading our way. We were too hence happy that nosotros got an early on get-go too had the draw of piece of job solid completely to ourselves the entire time. A rarity inwards Japan!
See how Japanese kindergartener's organize their shoes? Amazing!
The instant edifice was a "shrine"of sorts, to the Moomin cartoon strip, which included a large room of artifacts. Kind of odd, but apparently they actually beloved the Moomin's!
There was a actually cute library area, every bit well.
The books were all inwards Japanese, but it's nonetheless fun to look.
The grounds were simply every bit fun every bit the house. The girls loved hiking to this bridge, which also had piffling windows perfect for spying.
The best adventures for Ella e'er include a tree to climb!
There were also simply about random wooden structures which provided slap-up "look out" spots.
And the bluish gazebo at the pond was a hit!
Always on the ticker for koi. And inwards Japan, they're ordinarily non difficult to find.
Such a fun direct chances today, total of hateful solar daytime dreaming too scenario making. The girls were dying to alive here. And, too hence was I!
***A side note- H5N1 few days later, the girls too I were at the mall too passed a shop selling really prissy ladies handbags. The prominent display at the front end of the shop was the Moomin Collection. So, plainly Moomin fever is non express solely to children's playgrounds. So random...so Japanese!
